Painted Dog’s 2024 Office Olympics
August 7, 2024In the spirit of the Olympics (and our love for some friendly competition), last week we held our own games in our Perth and Melbourne offices. Each morning we held a different ‘office Olympic’ event – kicking each day off with a hint of screaming and laughter (followed, of course, by objections from the teams that didn’t win). While some teams broke cleverly bent the rules, we all enjoyed some friendly rivalry and loved seeing each team’s approach to the daily challenge.
Though, it’s no secret that we’re a competitive bunch, so we were all aiming to take home the gold by any means possible! So, for the ultimate question, which teams won?
Event 1: The Coffee Run – won by Ruben (Team Pink, Perth) & Matt (Team Gold, Melbourne)
Event 2: Pencil Javelin – won by Hayley B (Team Light Blue, Perth) & Jared (Team Gold, Melbourne)
Event 3: Trashcan Basketball – won by Nicole and Tara (Team Orange, Perth) & Ben W and Felix (Team Green, Melbourne)
Event 4: Mental Gymnastics – won by Brynn, Jillian and Ruby (Team Light Blue, Perth) & Jacqui, Jared and Matt (Team Gold, Melbourne)
Event 5: Typing Relay – won by Ben S, Calvin, Nicole, Tara and Vienna (Team Orange, Perth) & Jacqui, Jared and Matt (Team Gold, Melbourne)
So, drumroll please….
At the end of the week, the accurately named Team Gold took first place in Melbourne whereas Team Pink (below) secured the Perth win!
