Big Dog at the WA Freight and Logistics Conference

On the road to better freight in WA

Earlier this year, Painted Dog conducted a significant piece of research for the Freight and Logistics Council of WA (FLCWA). The aim was to help them develop a social licence campaign to raise awareness about the importance of the freight industry and increase the public’s acceptance of its operations around them.

What it turned into was an exciting campaign development piece that’s already having a real impact on the industry – and it was a real blast to work on!

Stemming from this gig (and our expertise and ongoing work with the freight and transport industries), the team were asked to attend and moderate a session at the recent 3rd Annual WA Freight and Logistics Conference.

Partnering with the WA Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Western Roads Federation, the conference brought together over 200 leaders of business, government and industry to discuss the future of freight and logistics in WA.

One of our Principals, Chris Batini, was invited to moderate a session on improving the image and safety of the freight industry, which was a core part of the research we conducted. Our findings even made it into a presentation on the day and led to some great discussion around next steps!

Here’s Chris taking the mic…

In usual Chris Batini fashion, he kept the audience intrigued and engaged throughout the session, with some great discussion on what the industry needs to do to address its challenges and barriers. We love being involved in this sort of thing!

It’s now over to the creative agency, whose job it is to take our findings and ideas and turn them into an effective campaign to spread the word about this important industry. Keep an eye out for it!
