Lending a paw

June 28, 2024

Last week, some of the Painted Dogs dedicated a day to volunteer at the Salvation Army’s Garden of Hope in Gosnells. The Garden of Hope, envisioned by Mark and managed by both him and his wife Nikki, is more than just a green space – it is a sanctuary of peace, healing, and hope where everyone is welcome, and the community comes together to listen, value, and respect each other.

We spent the day assisting Mark and Nikki with various tasks around the garden, such as weeding, planting, and digging, ensuring that the garden continues to flourish for the community. We were deeply inspired by the beautiful stories shared by Mark and Nikki, and are grateful to support their platform. Helping this space remain and evolve also provided a great opportunity for the pack to bond and share with each other.

Here’s what some of the team had to say about this amazing experience:

“It was so nice to get out of the office and into nature at The Garden of Hope, it is such a great initiative, and you could feel the love as soon as you arrived! I had such a great morning with the team in the garden.”

“It was an amazing opportunity to get out on a perfect day and do something to help out the community, especially for a cause as great as this one.”

“I loved our volunteer day at the Garden of Hope! It was great to get out into nature and bond with the crew, and learn about the incredible story of how the garden started and how it brings so much hope and joy to a wonderful community of people.”
