Welcome to the Pack!

December 13, 2023

Announcing new staff is always exciting. Adventures on the horizon. Fresh faces, new ideas. We’re winding down for the year and we’re very happy to introduce you to three (!)) new faces at Painted Dog. Jacqui, Jillian and Felix.

Let’s start with Jacqui:

  1. Why Painted Dog? What attracted you to us?

After looking at the PD website and interviewing with the team, I knew this was the place for me! What was evident from both the website and interview process was the great people and culture at PD, and how your core values shone through in a really big way! Second, coming from a quant heavy insights agency, being allowed the opportunity to engage in more qualitative/hybrid work was something that really appealed to me.

  1. What are you most excited about / looking forward to in your role?

I’m really looking forward to working with a range of different people and teams, enhancing my skills in qual, and working across a more diverse range of projects and clients. I love to jump into new things and challenge myself. I’m also excited about being able to play a part in shaping the growing culture of the Melbourne office (love a thriving team that work and bond well together)

  1. What was the highlight of your first week?

Meeting the team for sure! I’m a people person. Everyone has been so welcoming and the office has a super warm, creative and supportive vibe.

  1. Best piece of advice you received from another staff member so far?

If tech doesn’t like you, CorpCloud is your best friend (this became evident on day 1, and can say we are now great friends)!

Over to Felix:

  1. Why Painted Dog? What attracted you to us?

I was attracted to Painted Dog for the chance to work with an innovative Australian market research company with soul. I’m passionate about research and surveys so the DT role really stood out as being a great match.

  1. What are you most excited about / looking forward to in your role?

Learning all the ins and outs of the softwares, the lifecycle of all the interesting project types at Painted Dog and getting to know all the cool and interesting people I’m working with.

  1. What was the highlight of your first week?

When my work laptop fell apart on my first day. I had never actually seen the inside of a computer fan before. Also Ben White’s Triton rooftop tent looks pretty cool.

  1. Best piece of advice you received from another staff member so far?

Probably from Bill to immediately start sorting emails by project code in Outlook. But the Ruby hot keys from Ben S would be a close #2.

And finally from Jillian:

  1. Why Painted Dog? What attracted you to us?

Painted Dog was a no-brainer for my next career move. I was familiar with the team from conference presentations and their strong reputation in the industry. I knew that Painted Dog are a highly successful and energetic group that pushes the envelope, which is really required to stay ahead of the game in market research. Who wouldn’t want to be part of that?

  1. What are you most excited about / looking forward to in your role?

I’m looking forward to working towards some wins with the team and making a difference to clients and the business.

  1. What was the highlight of your first week?

There were so many! Looking under the hood at Painted Dog, meeting lots of cool people, many treats throughout the week and a nice chilled glass of rose with the gang to cap it off!

  1. Best piece of advice you received from another staff member so far?

That baked goods are a real and valuable currency at this organisation.

What a way to end the year! Welcome to the team, guys!
