Dog Spotto: Matthew!
June 19, 2020Fridays are Staff Spotlight days! We throw the spotlight onto one of our Painted Dogs and they answer the questions you’ve always wanted to know! This week’s spotlight falls on Matt; we gave him a few fun questions to answer so take a read below to get to know him a little better!
Favourite Disney / Pixar movie?
Without a doubt, Lion King! In fact it’s not a stretch to say it’s my favourite movie, period. I watched it over and over as a kid (still remember crying just about every time Mufasa died, what a tear-jerker!). The fact that my wife surprised me with a Lion King-themed flash dance at our wedding probably underlines my love for this film. The musical is incredible too, I’d love to see it on Broadway one day!
Morning or evening person, why is that?
Well as much as I’d LOVE to be a morning person… definitely evening. Why? I wish I knew, then I could change it! I just really don’t like going to bed! Even if I’ve been tired all day I just suddenly become more awake and alert at night. During my uni days my most productive hours were 8pm-2am! Apparently it’s genetic too, my mum and both sisters are total night owls (in fact, they’re worse). When my little sister stayed with us this past summer, she was getting up at lunchtime. Took me back to my student days!
Five words your friends would use to describe you?
Hopefully – reliable, caring, strong, loyal, funny.
What is one thing you wish you were better at?
Probably switching my brain off! Hmmm, maybe that’s why I’m a night owl…
If you weren’t working in market research, what would you be doing?
Hard to say! I love research & analysis but doing something that helps people, and my current job fortunately allows me to do both!. Probably something in public health, academia or public policy.
