And that’s a wrap…

December 20, 2019

As we close our doors on another year at Painted Dog, you’ve certainly kept us busy! We’ve loved every minute of it, and to prove it we’re sharing a few stats and snaps of our 2019 journey.

We’ve finished another 166 projects across Australia

From familiar WA destinations such as Exmouth, Jurien Bay, Broome, and Preston Beach. We even jumped a train and headed to Kalgoorlie! Further afoot took us across the Nullabor to Adelaide, a second home for some of our consultants and onto Melbourne and Frankston. We even stopped in at the Prime Minister’s office in Canberra before shooting over to Parramatta, Chadstone and sunny Brisbane. We’ve clocked up some kilometres this year, that’s for sure!

We’ve helped some clients grow profits and others save lives

It’s fantastic that we get to help our clients achieve their strategic goals – and what a wide and diverse set of goals they are! You’ve more than likely seen us featured in The West Australian spreading the People’s Voice on topics such as Flu Vaccination, Daylight Savings and whether to live-stream a serial killer trial. We’ve also helped identify new audiences for our arts partners, help save the lives of road users, and presented at conferences about recycling, waste reduction, freight and logistics! We’re truly passionate about making a positive difference for our clients and love that we can do this across so many sectors and industries.

We’ve welcomed 5 new pack members: 3 human and 2 canine

Our staff are everything to us and each member of the pack brings something unique and valuable to the team… from an Australian Ice Hockey representative, a mixologist, a heavy metal drummer, a lycra-wearing cyclist and a bangin’ brownie-baker, we’ve got most bases and skillsets covered. If you’re lucky enough to visit on a day when our canine team members frequent the office they also bring a welcome boost to our busy schedules and often wander into our meetings and presentations.

We’ve drunk 8,912 cups of coffee and enjoyed 42 ‘happy hours’

Being in Leederville certainly has its perks. We’re spoilt for choice when it comes to cafes, coffees and canapes! In fact, many times this year we’ve ventured out with clients – if you’re strategic enough, the 10.00am and 4.30pm meeting times are gold and are likely to be held at one of Leedy’s special venues.

We’ve clocked up 303 hours debating veganism

Curiosity is in our DNA at Painted Dog…and with hungry being one of our values, this one was sure to feature prominently this year. It’s no surprise we have a passion for research, but our passion for food is not far behind! This year saw us tweak our yearly Bake-Off Challenge to only five ingredients – low and behold the winning dish was not only vegan but cooked by Justin. Hit him up if you want the recipe!

We’ve launched 5 new products, 1 new division, and 1 new sister company

Told ya we’ve been busy… our suite of products including PDneuro, PDquicktest and PDbrandsprint are a testament to our innovative nature and staying at the forefront of the industry. We bring our team together to push the boundaries and plan how we can continue to grow and evolve. We’re excited to do more of the nerdy stuff with our Data Science team, and with WA’s fastest-growing panel, RewardingViews, allowing access to a truly engaged and excited panel, we can’t wait to see what 2020 brings.

We’ve celebrated 1 engagement and our predictive model suggests there are 2 more around the corner

We LOVE celebrating milestones with our team and their partners. Our team spends quite a few hours together so we naturally form pretty strong friendships. Each year, however, we like to thank not only our staff for their efforts but also their partners and loved ones. We hosted a fantastic dinner this year that saw us glam up and toast our achievements together – work hard, party hard!

We’ve celebrated 12 years of business and finished our 1800th project

Back in 2007, Claudia and Justin took an educated punt and launched Painted Dog Research. Sometime later Chris joined the action and we can’t be more proud of what we’ve all managed to achieve together. Over the years we’ve certainly seen our fair share of topics and deliverables and we still have the passion, grit and determination that we had on day one – perhaps even more so!

We now find ourselves ready to take a well-earned break, forget about the numbers and focus on the things that matter the most. We want to wish you and your families all the joy, hope and wonder of Christmas and we’ll see you all again for another great year in 2020.

Merry Christmas from all the Painted Dog pack
