Donating our time and energy to the Cancer Council for a great cause

October 15, 2019

The Power of Pro Bono

No matter how big or successful we become, we will always help out those in need – in fact, that’s part of our vision. We know that there are many great organisations out there trying to help those less fortunate, and they don’t always have the budget to do all the important things they need to. So, we put our hands in our own pocket and help out …and this is one example…

Painted Dog recently donated its time and energy to help Cancer Council WA on its national fundraising campaign. Painted Dog’s pro bono work involved the use of text analytics and online sentiment analysis to help the Cancer Council better understand public attitudes towards its fundraising activities.

With this information in hand, they’re now able to progress key campaigns and inform future media and communications plans. And it’s already had a direct impact on vital fundraising activities for Cancer Council’s 13 11 20 Information and Support Line.

Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager at Cancer Council WA, Addy Wetzler, said:

“The pro bono work undertaken by Painted Dog has been an invaluable contribution to the work of Cancer Council nationally, in support of our 13 11 20 Information and Support Line. We are extremely grateful for Painted Dog’s support with this piece of work and would certainly recommend their services highly.”

13 11 20 is available to those affected by or concerned about cancer and works to connect Australians with support, information and resources.

We’re extremely proud of this work and are always on the lookout for other worthy causes we can help.
