Research Got Talent? We’ve got Tara!
August 13, 2026
We’re incredibly proud to share that our very own Tara Forde has been named a finalist in the 2026 Research Got Talent competition, run by ADIA and ESOMAR.
Her proposed project, The Invisible Barrier: Why Parents Still Don’t Seek Help When Every Practical Barrier Has Been Removed, has been developed in collaboration with Parkerville Children and Youth Care – and their important initiative The Kids Hub – to explore an important challenge facing families seeking support for children aged 0-12.
Why did she choose this topic? We did what all good researchers do, and asked her! She said: “Getting children support early is everything, 0 to 12 is such a critical window for development, and support that comes too late can’t do what support given early can. I love what The Kids Hub is doing: it’s stripped away so many of the traditional barriers; cost, referrals, diagnosis, appointments, that usually stop families from getting support, however there are still some invisible barriers holding families back. This research is about making sure the children who need The Kids Hub most are the ones who actually find their way to it.”
And the timing couldn’t be better – this week also marks Tara’s five year anniversary as a Painted Dog! A fantastic way to celebrate half a decade of curiosity, commitment, and impact.
Congratulations, Tara – we’re so proud to see you representing us on the national stage!
