A Spooktacular Adventure at Fremantle Prison!

This Halloween, part of our Painted Dog Research team ventured into the eerie depths of Fremantle Prison, and what a hauntingly memorable night it was!
From the moment we crossed the threshold, we were enveloped in an atmosphere thick with history. Fremantle Prison isn’t just a spooky setting; it reveals a darker side of Western Australia’s past. As we navigated through dimly lit corridors and listened to tales of former inmates, we were reminded of the struggles and stories that shaped our community.
The chilling ambiance provided the perfect backdrop for reflection, making us appreciate the importance of remembering our history—even the parts that are unsettling. It was a unique opportunity to bond as a team while contemplating the lives that once filled those stone walls.
Despite the spine-tingling tales, we found ourselves laughing and sharing in the thrill of the night. The experience reminded us that while we can have fun, it’s essential to acknowledge and learn from the past.
