Happy Zoo Year!

Just like that, it’s 2024!
And what better way to kick off the new year with a trip to the Zoo?! Today, a few of the team were lucky enough to be surprised with a private Close Encounter experience with none other than Perth Zoo’s African Painted Dogs.
Led by passionate Keeper Sally, we saw the pack of eight pups having a morning feed and watched them playing and interacting with each other – witnessing their pack dynamics and hierarchy in action! We even noticed a few of our brand values in action too – they’re certainly sharp, social team players (just like us!).
We learned a few fun facts about our namesake too – did you know that Painted Dog packs are led by their alpha females (although if you know much about our office, we weren’t overly surprised by this…!)? But sadly, there are fewer than 7,000 Painted Dogs left in the wild, so Perth Zoo’s work to help promote conservation and education around these beautiful animals is so valuable.
We felt so privileged to have this unique and special experience – hopefully the first of many rewarding (and fun!) research experiences that come our way this year. It’s already off to a busy start and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2024!
