Welcome Thomas!
March 5, 2021We are super excited to welcome Thomas to the pack! Today marks the end of his first week and not only did he survive, but he’s looking forward to coming into the office next week too.
Thomas is a bit of a creative and brings to the pack a Master of Marketing from UWA plus a bachelor of English and Cultural Studies. He is a people person who enjoys client facing tasks and building a personal relationship with anyone he works with. Before joining the pack, Thomas worked for a digital marketing agency, lived in Europe, and fulfilled his hobby by liaising in the Perth film community as a critic and supporting the local movie industry. He hopes to bring his passion for storytelling, cultural diversity and understanding of emotional resonance to Market Research at Painted Dog, especially to the qualitative side.
We asked him a few questions about his first week and what he’s looking forward to. Take a read below:
Why Painted Dog? What attracted you to the team?
Painted Dog’s company and office culture attracted me! They have a sense of pride in work and an emphasis on team building cooperation. I can’t imagine a greater balance. Their company values of giving everyone in Perth a voice is something that especially resonated with me.
What are you most excited about and looking forward to?
I’m looking forward to getting to know my team. I find it important to know who you will be working with and so far everyone has been an absolute master in their field. I can’t wait to learn off everyone!
What was the highlight of your first week at Painted Dog?
The welcome morning tea! It was so sweet, wholesome and just set the tone for the office and the team I’ll be with.
What was the best piece of advice you were given by a PDR staff member?
Nearly everyone I spoke to said “enjoy your first week because it’ll get very busy very soon!” But this is simply not true, I am busy right now and it’s my 3rd day! Baptism by fire is the best way to learn though, so here I am taking the challenge head on!
