Dog Spotto: Imogen!

April 24, 2020

Welcome to our Weekly Staff Spotlight! Each Friday we’re throwing the spotlight onto one of our Painted Dogs and they answer the questions you’ve always wanted to know! This week’s spotlight falls on Imogen; we gave her a few fun questions to answer so take a read below to get to know her a little better!

If you were lost in the woods, how long do you think you’d survive? Why? What special skills would you put to use?

Having become lost recently while hiking I can confidently say that I have no skills to survive this sort of incident and would most certainly perish. My ego before this incident was larger than life and I was quite disappointed to learn that I have all the survival skills of a tea towel.

What’s at the top of your bucket list and why?

Argh so many things. If it’s travel, I really really want to go to Canada. I want to just get lost in the mountains somewhere (but not actually lost, because perish, please see above) and see Canada’s unique wildlife. Bears and Wolves and Moose and cool stuff – Deer and Raccoons and icy landscapes, autumn colours and glacial lakes – my only fear is that I won’t want to come back.

What words of advice would you tell your 18 year old self?

Just be quiet. Listen with your ears, let others speak. Encourage others. Talk to the person that no one wants to talk to. Pursue the things that bring you joy and make your heart sing. Protect those you care about, always.

If you had to choose a career you loved for little money or choose one you didn’t enjoy for a high salary – and commit to it for ten years – which would you pick and why?

So easy! I will always choose to be happy and underpaid if necessary. Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life. Being highly paid for something you didn’t enjoy would surely kill your soul over time.
