Cocktail hour… or 3
February 29, 2016The Painted Dogs kicked off the 2016 social calendar with something we haven’t done before… a cocktail making workshop at The Classroom in North Perth!
The workshop started with a brief (and interesting) history of the most popular and quintessential alcohols used in cocktails and how they differ from each other. We oohed and ahhed at the demonstrations and particularly enjoyed the espresso martinis being treated to a liquid nitrogen bath, turning the creme solid.
The Classroom make some amazing cocktails and it really is more of an art than a ‘drink’. We soon realised making cocktails is harder than it looks and most drinks must be mixed precisely or they don’t taste good. Our own resident cocktail master Chris has been making it look easy for years!
