This week marked the National Blood Donor week for Australian Red Cross lifeblood and the Painted Dogs happily booked appointments to make donations including a few first timers which was awesome.
A heartfelt thank you was sent via email from Cath Stone, the Executive Director of Donor Experience, which rounded off what can only be described as a heart warming experience. For those who can, being a donor is a really nice way to give back to the community, help save lives, support people in need – and enjoy a really good snack post-donation. The experience is great from start to finish – a very easy booking service, reminders on what to do pre-appointment, very friendly and capable staff followed up by a text message thanking you for your donation and telling you where your donation has been sent.
