Aussie, Aussie, Aussie!

This was a fun one for us — and a chance to celebrate… a little differently.
Brent, one of our Executive Directors, recently sat his Australian Citizenship test (and yes, achieved a very tidy 100% score). Naturally, we took the opportunity not only to celebrate this huge milestone, but to do it in true Aussie fashion.
We decorated his desk so he’d get a surprise when he came in after passing… although he did arrive early, spotted it immediately, and then had to pretend he hadn’t.
The social team also created their own version of the Australian Citizenship practice test…
Our test featured some very important questions, a few examples of which can be seen below. Brent answered most of them correctly, but for the record, he did fall short of that perfect PDR score after failing to identify a couple of iconic Aussie songs. Who doesn’t know What About Me by Shannon Noll? And while he could sing along to The Veronicas’ Untouched (impressive), he couldn’t name the band. Disappointing. We put him on the L plates and sent him off for the official exam..
..and fortunately, his grip on politics and key Australian dates was excellent — and evidently good enough to be officially accepted and declared an Aussie. Congrats, Brent!
