New Pups in the Pack!
June 27, 2025
It’s been a busy week for the Pack—especially for our two newest team members, Amelia and Erica. They’ve hit the ground well and truly running, and we’re thrilled to have them on board! Incredibly smart, focused, and enthusiastic, these two go-getters are already proving they’ll fit in just fine.
We love fishing for compliments, so we asked them: “Why us? Why did you want to work here?”
Erica said, “Painted Dog’s high regarded reputation across Australia and proven expertise in research initially drew me to the company after attending a PD presentation at an industry conference. After coming in for an interview and getting a sense for the team’s culture and ways of working I knew this was the place for me!”
Amelia said, “During my time as a casual, I realised that I wanted to become part of the pack. I was drawn to their friendly smiles and the vibrant culture at PDR. I appreciated how everyone supports one another and recognised that there was so much I could learn from the members of PDR.”

They’re both eager to get started, which is awesome. But what are they most excited about?
Amelia is “looking forward to learning and growing in this role! It’ll be awesome to tackle new challenges and grab some insights from my teammates along the way.”
Whereas Erica said, “I am looking forward to working with the wide variety of clients across multiple different sectors. The idea of not being limited to one area of research or type of methodology excites my brain neurons.”
Best piece of advice they’ve received so far?
Amelia said, “…it’s okay not to know everything right away, especially since I’m new to the industry. Everyone is understanding and willing to help, so reaching out is always encouraged. As well as being a sponge and trying to learn as much as I can from as many people,” while Erica responded, “Besides the go-to café for the best croissants in Leederville (thanks Bill!), the advice to build up my desktop with all of Painted Dog’s most useful and helpful documents has been a great way to get me up to speed.”
We hope their first week has been as fun, welcoming, and energising as we’ve found it having them around. Starting a new job can be a whirlwind, but they’ve both handled it like pros—and we’re excited to see everything they’ll bring to the Pack as they settle in. Here’s to a great start and even better things ahead!
