“We all know Mental Health in Australia needs to be better. And that’s our goal at Black Dog Institute.”
Did you know that 1 in 5 people experience mental illness, or that 60% of people living with Mental Illness will not seek help or that 9 people in Australia die each day by Suicide?
October is Mental Health Month and Painted Dog Research are joining to walk in solidarity against Mental Illness in Australia, led by Black Dog Institute.
The pack have signed up and set individual km goals to walk and raise money for Black Dog Institute and look forward contributing to an organisation that positively impacts Mental Health for Australians. We have a number of walks planned on top of our regular exercise and are so far doing well with our km challenges!
So far, we’ve run up a fair few km’s and might need to look at upping our target… we’ve got walkers, runners and cyclists with Justin currently heading up the leaderboard with a whopping 248km (and only six days in!).
